Addy Boo... my second Beautiful Blessing.
Seven going on 18. This girl keeps her Momma on her toes... here is a little look at what Addasyn is all about. Once again in her Mother's eyes.
*Addy is ALL about friends. OK... this girl won't take dance lessons, piano, gymnastics, play soccer... because it "takes time away from her friends." Before her little feet hit the floor in the morning she is asking me if she can go play. In Addy's ideal world she would be able to hang out with her friends 24/7!
*She is my tender one. She has such a sweet heart and it can be broken very easily.
*She is HILARIOUS. I love her sense of humor. As I type this she is watching Deal or No Deal and I can hear her cheering (and by cheering I mean screaming) for the lady..."NO DEAL, NO DEAL. Come on...your my main girl. And your HOT, too HOT for that deal."
*She is a wonderful little sister AND big sister. She idolizes Kenzie...thinks she hung the moon. And she really loves Gracie. I've had the joyful pleasure of overhearing Addy tucking Gracie into bed with stories, a kiss and a "goodnight sweetie." And she taught her to ride her bike without training wheels.
*She really truly LOVES doing crafty things with me and cooking with me. She assisted me with almost every dish for our first Thanksgiving Dinner. She stayed up with me until 1 a.m. making apricot jam and fruit roll-ups. And the whole time she was talking about how much fun it was.
*She is so FREAKING picky about her hair. She will only wear her hair in a ponytail, half ponytail, or straight with the bangs pulled back. If you see her hair styled ANY other way just know that I had to pay her.
*She HATES... let me repeat HATES to clean. She informed us on her last birthday that she did not want any toys because that would be more stuff for her to pick up. She has also been know to ban her friends from the playroom because it's clean and she DOES NOT want to clean it again.
*She is VERY smart. Her reading, spelling and math scores were on a fourth grade level.
*She LOVES popcorn, Ben and Jerry's ice cream and steak. And has eaten all three for breakfast.
*She loves to sleep in my bed, stay up late watching cartoons and eating Ben and Jerry's ice cream. It's OUR thing.
*Addasyn is a beautiful little girl and we absolutely LOVE her to distraction! And we are so proud of her many accomplishments.
We prayed for HER for four years and we thank God for her every day.

McKenzie ...my teenager! But what a wonderful teen she is.
I know we are just beginning the teenage years, but so far Kenzie has been pretty darn good.
Here's a little look into what my oldest daughter is all about (in her Mother's eyes).

* Everyone LOVES Kenzie. People are ALWAYS telling me how wonderful she is. We often refer to her as Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!
* She is very mature for her age. Perhaps that comes from being an only child for 7 years... don't know.
*She actually likes hanging out with... HER PARENTS (gasp). She sits with me on the front porch for hours and talks and listens. She LOVES it when her Dad goes to girls camp with her. Her and I go to dinner or movies together all the time. She hugs us in public. She tells me she loves me every time we end a phone conversation... even in front of friends. She will text me when she is with her friends just to tell me something funny or something she did that I would be proud of.
*She LOVES her little sisters. Although there is 7 and 9 years difference she indulges them and plays dolls, littlest pet shops and school with them. She takes them to the park, lets them sleep with her when they are scared, watches Disney movies with them, styles their hair all cutesy and sometimes lets them tag along with her and her friends.
*She joined the MC Marching Band this year (playing the flute) and is working her little tushy off but LOVES every second of it.
*She is a really good cook. And even has some of her own secret recipes.
*She is a mighty hunter and shot her first deer in October... and then cried because she hurt it and then gloated because she was the only person in deer camp to get a deer and... OH YEAH she was the ONLY GIRL.
*She is a GREAT student and has maintained straight A's except for one trimester she struggled in math.
*She is a girlie girl that can burp the alphabet, stuff like a half of a steak in her mouth (at once) and has the messiest bedroom I've ever seen (I've been told my room resembled the aftermath of a tornado when I was her age... lies...lies!).
*She has been known to take her family out to dinner or ice cream (her treat) with her babysitting money.
*She is a beautiful girl. And we love her so much. We are always proud of her, constantly amazed by her, and eternally grateful she is our daughter.

Father's Day

This year for Father's Day I let the girls choose what gifts they would like to give their Dad... all by themselves and I didn't even give them ideas.
Yup! He got four water guns! Woo Hoo!
And this way cute T-shirt.
That had a picture of the girls on the front and read "Happy Father's Day. We Love You!" We made him steak and potatoes for dinner (his favorite) and Miss Gracie even had her own surprise for him.
Her very own cheese goatee...just like Daddy's!
And Lee even had the honor of speaking in Sacrament meeting on Father's Day. Addy was still recovering from RSV so I wasn't able to go to church but I heard he did a fantastic job. He is a great speaker and I am so proud of him.
Lee is an awesome Dad and husband, all of his girls LOVE him so much.
We are the luckiest girls in the world.
Sure do LOVE you Lee!
