Gracie Lynnette Buck...my baby.
By far my most easy-going child. This little girl can melt my heart with her smile and I think she knows it.
So...here is a little look into what Miss Gracie is all about.
*The first thing that comes to mind is Gracie's own little language... She calls yogurt Sugar, tunnels-camels, her little friend Blake is Blank, Old Navy-Old Maybe, breakfast-frekfast, lunch-much, the trailer-the treadmill, McKenzie-Mahenzie, short sleeved shirts are referred to as sleeves pulled up, sleeves pulled down for long sleeved shirts. Shorts are referred to as pants pulled up...long pants as pants pulled down. Now I will say that one threw me the first time I heard it. There was just no way I was letting her out of the house with her pants pulled down.
*Gracie so LOVES her big sissies. She gives them words of encouragement, like "Henzie...I loved the way you played the flute in the parade. You looked HOT in your uniform." She wants to make them feel better when they are sick, like "Oh Addy do you want some Coke and Mountain Dew to make you feel better. Then you won't barf up any more."
*She still has such a beautiful innocence about her. She believes with all her heart that HER very own Sleepy Fairies sprinkle sleepy dust in her eyes every night so she will sleep well and not have bad dreams.
*She LOVES to try new things and will try just about anything once. She takes dancing, played soccer, T-ball, takes swimming lessons in the summer, tried tumbling, wants to take piano, wants to play basketball and informed me that she would really like it if we could get her some chickens.
*She LOVES school. She took preschool for 2 1/2 years was a bit ticked when she couldn't go throughout the summer. She is now in Kindergarten and just doesn't know why she can't go all day like Addy and Kenzie.
*She NEVER cries when she gets shots... never has. She will give you the look of death but shed not a single tear! When she was 2-years-old she broke her little leg, we didn't even know it was broken until she tried to walk and couldn't. After she got her pretty pink cast, she walked right out of the doctor's office.
*Gracie is so dang FUNNY. She makes us all laugh on a daily basis with some of the stuff she comes up with. Just yesterday we were playing together. I told her it was time to clean up and have lunch she looked at me and said (in her best deep voice) "You wanna piece of me? Huh? You wanna a piece of this?" Thumbs pointing at her puffed-up chest.
*Gracie is very easy-going. Seriously...she doesn't care if her shoes are on the wrong feet or even mismatched for that matter. If I told her she had to clean her room with a fork she would. When she dresses herself in clothes from the hamper she just looks at me and says "Moooooom they don't stink."
*She loves to "cuddle me up." Almost every morning Gracie slips into bed with me, wraps her little arms and legs around me and says "Hi my Mommy. I'm going to cuddle you up."
*Gracie can fall asleep ANYWHERE... on the neighbors porch, in the pantry with a bag of Fruit Loops, in her toybox, in front of the TV with her chin propped up on her fists. If she falls asleep in the car I can put her in her PJ's without disturbing her slumber.
*Gracie is such a sweet, beautiful little girl. We love her all the way to the moon and back. She fills our hearts and home with so much love, joy and laughter.
